The company Termisur Eurocargo, S.A. was set up in 1981 to provide stevedoring and unloading services in the Port of Algeciras. Subsequently, it moved its activity to the Port of Seville, where it was a pioneer in the introduction of containerised maritime cargo transport from Seville to the Canary Islands.
The shipping company Termisur Eurocargo has gone a step further and in 2017 has joined the growth project that the Port Authority of Huelva is carrying out in the South Wharf. Thus, Termisur Eurocargo has been operating as a consignee since January 2017 in the Port of Huelva with a regular Huelva-Canary Islands container line.
Likewise, the company intends to continue boosting traffic with the Port of Huelva from the Majarabique Intermodal Terminal (Seville), after having been awarded the contract for the same in January 2017.
The company’s final objective is to reinforce multimodal transport, which will enable it to reduce transit times and increase its capacity to tow larger vessels.
