A tower, restaurants and accommodation are among the buildings planned for the project.

The Port of Huelva has presented this Tuesday the technical project for the remodeling of the Levante Wharf with which it wants to turn this enclave into an accessible space, with sustainable and friendly mobility options to facilitate port-city integration. It will be endowed with green and open spaces, facing the estuary, to enjoy the Paraje Natural Marismas del Odiel, a Biophere Reserve.

This project will include the burying of traffic on Avenida de Hispanoamérica, so that the city can act within its jurisdiction and achieve a true integration of the port territory and the city.

It is estimated that in the year 2024 the urbanization and landscaping works can begin. In parallel to the works, the granting of concessions will be put out to tender for the private sector to build and operate the different buildings in this space.

The new Muelle de Levante will have a space of more than 80,000 square meters,where it will accommodate a wide and varied offer of cultural spaces, intended for art, leisure and social activities, offices and a business center, an area of bars, restaurants and terraces , small businesses, tourist accommodation, convention center, training spaces, corporate headquarters and institutional buildings, facilities for the health sector, sports areas, children’s play areas, sports marina, nautical activities center and cruise and mega-yacht terminal.
