The Association for the Commercial Promotion of the Port of Huelva holds the first board meeting of the year to plan commercial actions together with the APH.

Huelva, 18th April 2022. – The president of the Port of Huelva, Pilar Miranda,  highlighted during the first HuelvaPort Board of Directors meeting of the year the necessity to continue working together with the companies of the port community, grouped together in HuelvaPort (Association for the Commercial Promotion of the Port of Huelva) “to generate synergies, carry out joint trade missions to reinforce the presence of the Port of Huelva and its range of services in the logistics and port area and position the Port of Huelva in the place it deserves”.

In this context, Pilar Miranda assured that it is essential for the Port of Huelva to have a strong and cohesive port community around HuelvaPort.

The Port of Huelva keeps working to promote projects which are the motors of new opportunities for wealth and growth, which will also have an impact on the growth of the companies of the port community.

In this context, the Port of Huelva is carrying out six projects in the South Wharf valued in 62 million euros, which will contribute to attracting new regular maritime traffic lines and will boost exports and imports with the north of Europe and Morocco.

Likewise, during this financial year, the Port of Huelva intends to promote the Logistics Activities Zone project in Punta del Sebo to generate added value around logistics and port activities.

From HuelvaPort, the president, Antonio Ponce, thanked the president of the Port of Huelva for her institutional support and stated that throughout this year the aim is to recover the commercial activity prior to the pandemic with a programme of actions coordinated with the Port Authority of Huelva to continue generating business contacts and synergies, which will result in the launch of new activities, creating employment and wealth around the Port of Huelva and the companies of the port community.
