The port of Huelva has adjudicated Thales the contract for the development of new features in the security installations of the rail terminals located inside the Andalusian port.

The objective is to improve the capacity of the infrastructure and to create an innovative security system for a more efficient operation of the rail terminals. The project has a duration of 24 months and includes the implementation of a new Centralised Traffic Control Centre, the Thales CTC 1000.

It also includes the automation of the track gates that allow the entry and exit of rail vehicles and the installation of Light and Sound Signal systems at relevant level crossings depending on the type of track and the frequency of vehicles passing through.
