The Port of Huelva has important industrial facilities incorporated into its service area. How is the presence of these industries in the port area evaluated from the city’s point of view?


Industry has had a great weight in the province of Huelva since the origins of the Industrial Pole in 1964, contributing to the development and growth of employment, not only in the port industry, but also in other industries dependent on it, generating almost 37,000 direct, indirect and induced jobs and accounting for 19.4% of total employment in the province of Huelva and 21.9% of the VAB of Huelva.


In this sense, the companies of the port community, mostly integrated in the HuelvaPort Association, are the economic engine of the province and, at the same time, national references and leaders in the international market. Huelva’s chemical pole deserves the social support of the citizens as a guarantee for the economic future and a driver of employment in the province. in the province.
