They develop the pre-agreement signed in 2022 with a PPA that will start to be implemented in 2025.

Atlantic Copper and Capital Energy have announced this Friday that they have signed a new agreement for the Spanish energy company, which has one of its preferred markets in Andalusia, where it has been operating since 2009, to supply 100% clean energy to the metallurgical complex that the leading copper producer in Spain has in Huelva from 2025 onwards.

This agreement is the result of a pre-agreement signed in October 2022, as reported by Huelva Información, although at the time the plan was for the supply of electricity from renewable sources to begin in 2024.

Both companies reported in a statement that, according to the terms of the agreement signed between Capital Energy and Atlantic Copper, the energy company is committed to supply, at a stable and competitive rate previously established through a PPA, and for an initial period of 10 years, 43,800 megawatt hours (MWh) per year of energy generated by a photovoltaic plant being developed in Malaga, called Puerto.
